![]() You’re immersing them in the world of the film.”īTS on 'Oppenheimer' Credit: Universal Pictures A film this big deserves the biggest screen and the best viewing experience. You’ve got a huge screen and you’re filling the peripheral vision of the audience. You’re getting a feeling of 3D without the glasses. “The headline, for me, is by shooting on IMAX 70mm film, you’re really letting the screen disappear. “The sharpness and the clarity and the depth of the image is unparalleled,” Nolan said. Oppenheimer will be a cinephile's greatest joy this summer. We will be seeing new cinema cameras being used for the first time, and, knowing Nolan, shots in IMAX that we’ve never seen before. We already know that those practical explosions filmed with the rotary prism camera will look fantastic, but the remained of the film will engross the audience in the film. “We’re able to do things with picture now that before we were really only able to do with sound in terms of an oversize impact for the audience–an almost physical sense of response to the film.” Again, I was surprised it had HFR.“We know it had to be a showstopper,” Nolan told AP. I highly recommend this theater if you’re in SoCal and want to see Avatar in one of the best theaters. Showtime was at 8:15pm but with trailers/prologues the movie started at 8:45pm. ![]() Sound was also good and the theater overall well kept as always. The film was projected pillar-boxed on the sides and we were given Dolby 3D glasses. Yes, I did look back to make sure two projectors were going lol. Either way, the picture was clear and crisp and I wasn’t disappointed. ![]() Experience: There WAS HFR at this location! I was surprised since this is a GT Dual Laser location with a 1.43 screen, so it must of been playing in 2K but it looked like 4k. There was 25mins of previews and about 5mins of AMC/IMAX prologues. ![]() Trailers: Creed 3 (IMAX BTS), Mission Impossible (IMAX BTS), Oppenheimer (1.43), Spiderverse, Shazam, Super Mario Bros, Indiana Jones, Guardians (3D), Ant-Man (3D).
